I recently learned that soaking oats is incredibly important to do before eating them, and here is why:

So now what I do is right before I go to sleep I take two handfulls of whole oats and place them in an jar and I pour 0.5% milk over to barely cover it. Close the lid tightly and refrigerate until you are ready to eat it the morning after. A great substitute for the milk would be to use almond milk, but I am having a hard time finding it here in Copenhagen.
